they made two posts complaining about essentially meme quality assurance - wish I had that much time.

Cerberus is singularly the goodest boi in the world. He's three good boys in one - you can't beat that. Any single boi you name is logically outnumbered by the sheer concentration of good boi in one being.

honestly not trying to be a shill but there was a brief period that caught a glimpse of a post-piracy world where there were very little streaming services that had all the content you could want. It moved me away from piracy because of the convenience, library, and being able to share with friends and family.

Ideally a post-piracy world would have the options for uncensored/original versions of content, the ability to buy and store said content locally and own in perpetuity, with a price point for access to a vast library from a very small number of services. As many have said, the way to combat "piracy" is to offer a service better than piracy itself.

In 2075, The Nintendo Switch is widely regarded by scientists and engineers all over the world as the most stable object in the known universe.

I just presumed you turn on "shower thoughts" mode after you've done a thorough clean.

Though this is similar to what some Japanese households do where they do a thorough wash and shower, removing any dirt and sweat, and soak in a bathtub to relax afterwards.

Great thread - might make my icons a little smaller but I have a big phone (for my hand) so I tried to balance minimalist with color-immediacy

absolutely brutal news to hear. it cannot be overstated how much of an impact this man's works had influenced not only action and comedy manga but culture as a whole. rip on of the greats

Not a fan of the genre so take what I say with a grain of salt but I've always viewed it as the destillation of the "fish out of water" and power fantasy combined into one. Both reasonably popular tropes tied into one.

So it's already readily consumeable for the targeted demo and relatively easy to write/draw since the you don't need to worry about developing a distinct character trait/trope (he's unique/powerful) or unique narrative framing. It's not necessary bad, just easy to produce and readily consumable. It's the equivalent of the step-fantasy or fast food. Not evil or bad, just not particularly unique.

Then you eventually get amazing works (Jack In The Box's Chick n tater melt, Overlord, Eminence In The Shadow) that either push the best traits to 11 or are a direct commentary on the genre itself.

Formally, this is an example of positive punishment where the addition of a stimulus decreases the likelihood of the target behavior occuring again.

Negative reinforcement refers to subtracting/removing a stimulus to increase the likelihood of a target behavior (think reducing a prison sentence for good behavior).

Test post and in response to https://lemmy.world/post/2100830, demonstrating the current difficulty of seamlessly of directly linking a post from across the fediverse.

On Jerboa, linking a Mastodon profile goes to a blank page (because they don't have any lemmy posts).

So you'd have to copy the link from Mastodon

So for now, it's a lot of steps and some a transition from how we behave in centralised social but worth working on
