We ladies must look desirable; the fashion styles changed to accentuate my hips and my tits, my baby making parts.

Bring back ostentatious codpieces for the dudes

Takes some gumption to even touch a notorious broken flop like that

He made a video about the Mig Switch and now Nintendo has its lawyers watching his channel like a hawk

With two strikes they could totally nuke the channel at any moment by copyright claiming any Nintendo footage or imagery he's shown in any video he's ever made

This implies the CIA disinfo was some kind of oopsie

The reason they're turning random footnotes into movies or making up their own OCs like in the Amazon show is because they only have the LOTR trilogy and its appendices to work off of. The Tolkien estate made sure to keep the rights to Silmarillion, etc off limits

To be fair, the Amazon show is an entirely separate adaptation and has no relation to the Jacksonverse.

I would assume Warner Brothers would fuck him up in a different way. Judging from the quality of the writing in the Hobbit trilogy I would assume they'd turn Tom Bombadil into a stoner stereotype who also farts constantly or something

I love Ian McKellen as Gandalf but he was already noticeably older in the Hobbit movies. I can't even imagine how distracting it would be in this train wreck since he'd be about as ancient as Christopher Lee was in his Hobbit cameo

This takes place during the 17-year time skip between Bilbo's birthday party and when Frodo returns home to discover an agitated Gandalf in his home asking if the Ring's safe. What, you didn't think it felt like Gandalf going to read that diary in Gondor took 17 years??? Yeah, the movies kinda streamlined and simplified that part.

It's wild they're retroactively adding shit they just completely excised from the original film adaptations. What's next, a side movie about the Hobbits encountering the barrow wights and Tom Bombadil before they reach Bree? A movie about the Scouring of the Shire?

You only had to do that once? In the initial phase I just couldn't get rid of the pop-ups for longer than one session

I started getting the dreaded anti-adblock pop-ups on Youtube when they started ramping up their efforts a month or so back, and I initially went through the whole rigamarole: First it was just the pop-up, then it was the pop-up with the timer, then the 3-video countdown finally leading to the video player being disabled outright.

Throughout all of this I did the recommended Purging All Caches -> Update Now routine on the Ublock Dashboard at least once a day to keep the pop-ups away, but when it got to the player getting blocked it didn't seem to work anymore. Since I'm on Firefox, I experimented using Containers and found that I could just log in to my YT account on a different container to keep using Youtube until that container started getting blocked.

In the past few weeks I've noticed no issues though apart from having the video player blocked once, which was fixed by purging all caches and updating and I almost forgot about the whole anti-adblock thing altogether. It does seem like YT pages are loading slightly slower than they used to though.

Are you still having issues with Ublock on Youtube or were you even affected at all?

What was the last time?

They also prohibited a demonstration by the progressive Jewish group Jüdische Stimme.

Explaining their reasoning on the Jüdische Stimme protest, the police told The New York Times that the demonstration was “explicitly open to participants of Palestinian origin,” and said organizers coordinated with protesters whose demonstrations were banned over concerns about antisemitic incitement.

Let's not forget the MO Discs from Resident Evil and MGS

I'm assuming this will escalate to some insanely locked down DRM scheme. Guess I'll enjoy uBlock, ReVanced and yt-dlp while I can

When I want to type a special non-English character like Ø, on my Android phone I simply long press on "o" on the keyboard and it brings up every variation of the letter o you could think of.

On Windows, the best you get is "please memorise this giant list of four number codes". If I'm going to have to google the code I'm probably just going to copy the letter and paste it into whatever I'm writing.

Why not add them to the damn emoji menu (Windows key + .)

Can't wait until Google flips them on globally for all users doomer
