I can see you don't really care the details here. Have a nice life.

I don't understand how these two statements don't contradict each other.

reduce the overall population or

Killing one seagull or rat if there is hundreds of them in some area achieves neither of the three

So, we doom the man to be a psycho even though he may not be one?

may mean that this person has either psychopathic or sociopathic tendencies

Thus, fucking psycho.

But two rats will eventually create 100 rats. So you are kind of creating more death. Why not just kill the two rats?

This statement?

You are trying to kill as many individuals in a very short time span to cripple the population growth

So if a house had one rat, killing it wouldn't count as pest control because it's not killing many individuals?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you were ok with killing anything, bad wording on my part.

When is killing a pest consider pest control and when is it not pest control?

What are you using for pest categorization? Why are you okay with a seagull stealing your chip and not a rat?

Sorry, I think I got my wires crossed between your post and someone else's. You were not claiming the person killing the seagull was a psychopath.

Fascinating! So what about exterminators killing bugs? Does the size of the creature matter?

[–] deaf_fish@midwest.social 1 points 13 hours ago

True, but there was a layer of law below it. So there was at least some documented consistent process for which power was used for the most part. Now it's pretty much anything goes.

What about a person who works in a meat processing plant? Killing hundreds of chickens a day. Are they a psychopath?

[–] deaf_fish@midwest.social 1 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Yep, it's now pure power. Power dictates what happens and what doesn't.

The government broke up standard oil right? The current government has no beef with AI, in fact, it seems to be poring money into it. I am talking about Google vs the news sites.
