What are you using for pest categorization? Why are you okay with a seagull stealing your chip and not a rat?

Sorry, I think I got my wires crossed between your post and someone else's. You were not claiming the person killing the seagull was a psychopath.

Fascinating! So what about exterminators killing bugs? Does the size of the creature matter?

[–] deaf_fish@midwest.social 1 points 3 hours ago

True, but there was a layer of law below it. So there was at least some documented consistent process for which power was used for the most part. Now it's pretty much anything goes.

What about a person who works in a meat processing plant? Killing hundreds of chickens a day. Are they a psychopath?

[–] deaf_fish@midwest.social 1 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Yep, it's now pure power. Power dictates what happens and what doesn't.

The government broke up standard oil right? The current government has no beef with AI, in fact, it seems to be poring money into it. I am talking about Google vs the news sites.

Thanks. I hate it when people make memes with multiple meta levels. If you want to make a point against AI, don't burry it under open source corporatism.

Can you explain what you're seeing?

To me this comic is making fun of companies putting open source everywhere when it's not, just to get clout boosts.

Where are you getting AI from?

[–] deaf_fish@midwest.social 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I hate to tell you this but I don't think the AI is going down. I think Google could body all news organizations if it needed to.

I interpreted that as elderly who were depressed because they were in bad care facilities.

So like the bad thing is bad care facilities, or the fact that families don't have the means to take care of their elderly.

I have considered it. Thanks.
