Super interesting. I think there was a lot of interest from young 20-somethings that really pushed this movie like crazy. Makes sense considering they were probably the perfect age for the original.
Also probably helps that there aren't a lot of well marketed "kids movies" this summer break for parents to take them to.
Is that Disney is good at making their films seem like “must see” events, that they’re perceived as a cultural staple.
Disney has really struggled with this the last few years though.
I think the era of stars at that level is over.
Hey if they can even come close to the greatness of the latest Puss in Boots movies, I'm all in.
Oh that's super interesting! Really liked the book and Studio Laika has made some awesome stop motion films.
