Nicotine isn't the only addictive substance in cigarettes. As someone who has quit both cigs and vaping, it was by far easiest to quit vaping. It absolutely sucked - but nothing compared to going off tobacco. I still get massive cravings if I smell someone smoking nearby.

no one actually gives a fuck

Considering the fuss people make about gender neutral terms, as well as the whole master/slave, blacklist/whitelist thing, I'd say it's not totally improbable.

You'd love what one of my local stores does then - they give you the option to register your fingerprints after they check your ID for when you want to buy booze in the self checkout!

This method is far older than that, and it keeps popping up every so often as a "new" attack. First time I read about this method was in the early 2000's, and I'm pretty sure it been done before that as well.

How did that behavior even evolve, like what's the benefit to the species? I'm really curious.

Well, curious enough to ask, not curious enough to actually research...

I don't have it handy, but I came over a github repo showing the different prompts that for example ChatGPT and Bing use - and realized right away why Bing AI is so bad in comparison. MS seems to not know how to write a good prompt, and it show in the quality of their product. Plus the fact that you couldn't even save Bing chat conversations for the longest time, I'm not surprised they're not ahead.

Same in Norway, unsurprisingly, but we do say 14 0 0 (fjorten null null) if making it clear that we mean 1400 exact. Otherwise like you said, klokken 14 or klokken 2.

There's plenty of stories online like this one. It's all automated and if it decides you're bad, you're out. No questions asked, no appeals.

~~Google~~ search it up and you'll find many more.
