Any platform that believes it should be their choice whether the user can opt-in to any part of the fediverse, is a big no from me.

Venues will just need to implement infrared checks at the door.

They are renting server space off a big company, not much different than AWS or Azure.

He owes a lot of money to banks, etc, for the company.

Explicitly closing Twitter would make him liable for destroying other people's equity. Accidentally destroying twitter while pretending to drastically fix it, while pretending it's failing against his will and his taking measures to save it, is the only way to kill it without being on the hook for it.

Let everyone know below a game (6+ months old), that you have played recently, are currently playing or intend to play soon. If it's currently on sale, a link to the sale & price would be great.

I agree with the diversification of ownership, it's too large now for one couple to own outright and be in the best interest as an organisation.

I own this domain and don't have anything better to use it for, so it's a shorter link to the above mentioned community indexer.

It's almost like a sitcom.

I'm looking for a a manga that came out in April 2009, It contains 4 different Star Trek TNG stories called;

  • Changeling

Picard assigns newly commissioned Ensign Wesley Crusher to his first away mission. What follows is an amusing lesson in humility for a newbie ensign who's just a little too full of himself. Stardate 43903.2 Trade paperback anthology of manga-style Star Trek: The Next Generation tales. Edited by Luis Reyes and Bryce P. Coleman. ISBN 9781427812728, 5 in X 7.5 in, 192pp, b&w.

  • Sensation

Answering a distress call from an archeological expedition, Crusher and Troi must find the cause of a disease affecting expedition staff that ultimately begins to spread among the crew of the Enterprise. Stardate 44389.2

  • The Picardian Knot

The captain's emotional state is in question following an aborted assassination attempt by a Romulan officer. Stardate 43920.9

  • Loyalty

While Picard is recuperating from his assimilation by the Borg, Riker is called to a secret meeting. Senior Starfleet officers want to sideline Picard and put Riker in command of the Enterprise. The first officer mounts an emotional defense of his captain, with some surprising help from Commander Shelby. Stardate 44012.3

There was also an October 2020 reprint called Star Trek: The Manga - Boukenshin.

Star Trek Graphic Novel Collection Volume 135. Hardcover reprint published in the UK.

More information about it is here & here here.

I have looked at GetComics & LibGen, neither have it, libgen has only a single 2006 TOS manga. I have a usenet subscription if that is helpful. As per the instance rules, I'm not looking for a specific link, I should be able to figure what direction to look next with a point in the right direction.

I believed that I was being unfairly marked with a biased grading.

I got access to admin privileges, found another students essay from the same class but different timeslot, knowing what grade they got after handing it in early, I changed nothing but the font and name and handed it in to get a full letter grade less than the original student had.

I couldn't keep myself from complaining about it and was suspended over it, but it was a privilege when I knew I was right.

Edit: To clarify, it was the same teacher for both class groups.

Just about to finish TNG Season 2, I only watched the odd episode on television in the 90's and ST: Enterprise is the only complete series I have binged.

So I saw Measure of a Man which was great, in addition to that one, what episodes should I look forward to?

Does this apply at all to Lemmy users, or is this just internal?

Currently I have my services accessible through subdomains, with account password protection, my only experiences building websites is Google Pages and Geocities (20 years ago).

All I really need is a single linktree style landing page for my root domain, to hyperlink each of my subdomain services.

Each of my rr web ui has their own account/password setup, but I would like my landing page to also be behind a login form, preferably were I make the user/password manually.

I'm happy to either self-host the page or run it off something free like github pages.

My domain is registered via porkbun, with cloudflare managing the DNS, cloudflared tunnel routing the subdomains to their respective local ports.

I haven't been able to use my root domain via this method, which is why I am open to something like github pages to host the single page securely.

I've been looking up articles and reddit posts for weeks, but I'm not experienced enough in the matter to know where I should be looking or what I should be looking for.

Many of us are sharing without reward and have strong ethical beliefs regarding for-profit distribution of material versus non-profit sharing.

I really hope Jellyfin gets a leg up soon, as a Plex Lifetime Pass owner I have become more and more discontent with the platform.

When I paid for my personal licence, it included downloads for all my users, now its cutoff to only older users. I had expected that Plexamp would only be restricted to me while it was being developed, but it remains locked away from my users should never individually have a reason to subscribe for just themselves.

I bought my licence to support the company for the use of my server and I feel like they've only downgraded my service in the last couple years. Getting new users to jump through all of the hoops with their pinned content, only to have them ask me why there are adverts on my movies is frustrating.

I feel like very little has improved in the core product in years, my users default settings are still transcoding to the same bitrate, or 10x its bitrate. Every time I have made a valid suggestion on the old subreddit, the Plex devs had plenty of time to reject any and all criticism.

I don't believe Plex is going to get much better and likely we will see further erosion of our licences as the company only focuses on free users and the FAST service. I will keep checking in on jellyfin and alternatives, hopefully they get a boost soon.

Coupon is TESTANDCODE

I had already used it before realising it was one or the other, honestly its one of the better TLD's IMO, too bad Cloudflare doesn't support it yet.

Edit: I should have mentioned, you have to make a tentative payment of 1 USD, which is reverted.

Not quite yet, it's assumed that some of the bigger Reddit apps that are shutting down may do all three to maximise their userbase.
