I'm sure they got better, but they never won me back, that original feeling of disappointment is still associated with the games for me.

In regards to Dr M'Benga killing the diplomat?

I supposed this is two questions, whether a federation doctor should have been written to have killed a person as well as how Captain Pike / Starfleet should handle it in Season 3.

I'm looking at the ASRock PG27FF1A 27” FHD IPS 165Hz FreeSync Premium monitor, the price is in AUD so it's closer to $125 before tax.

I am content with 1080p at 27', it's what I am currently using and my 3050 laptop isn't appropriate to increase the resolution. My laptop has HDMI 2.1 output.

Not a big budget in mind, this is what I am looking at.

Acer Nitro KG272 S3 27" FHD VA 180Hz

The price in AUD, which is $127 USD before tax.

I am currently using a 3050 laptop / 5600H connected to my 1080p/60hz Acer from 2014. What I like about this monitor is it looks exactly the same and is the same size, it will be swapped with the existing VESA mount.

I cannot find any official documentation, some websites don't list it as HDR10 at all, I also find that regional variants can be very different. Some information shows this to be IPS, but I also can't find that out for sure, I also don't understand if that would be better/worse for high refresh rate. I am also on the assumption that 180Hz is really 165Hz with a possible OC I won't be using.

I will be playing at 1080p and can handle my games at 120+, the HDR10 will be a boost. I had thought that HDR400 was the dodgy spec, but now I am reading negative remarks about anything below HDR600, I thought HDR10 was genuine 10bit.

This is the best price in my regional stores and can be picked up locally.

In the listing, it specifies 250 cd/m² which I assume is important.

v2.0 is all well and good, but it's still 3 years after I bought it, not giving them the benefit of the doubt next time.

Open PowerShell;

Bonus points if its on sale, with a link.

It's about the server access sellers, but to block a whole major VPS instead of accounts that commit the violation is kinda absurd.

It looks like another step towards further restricting what users can do with their servers, local or virtual.

Appears to be Hetzner for now, wouldn't be surprised if all VPS get affected eventually.

USB 3.0 is already 15 years old.

I played it on my phone which nowadays is the port of the pixel remaster. I loved it and I thought it was great! I definitely felt a little overpowered due to not fleeing at all. I would recommend checking it out, I got just under 28 hours of playtime on my first run.

It’s a great game and I’m so glad I finally got to play it.

I’m running a RTX 2070 Super and a Ryzen 5 3600 with 32 gigs of RAM. Using Xenia-Canary I could run the game at 1080p with decent framerate, but that caused some really unpleasant brightness issues at night, so I stuck with 720p and honestly stopped noticing the low resolution after a while. The game ran at a stable 60 all the way to the end and I encountered absolutely no issues besides some flickering shadows once or twice.

If you have a decent gaming PC and have never played the original RDR I strongly recommend you try this. It can be a bit of a faff to find what emulator settings work for you, but once you get it working properly, it’s an absolute blast. RDR still holds up really well in my opinion.

You ask for a comment regarding an accusation, this wasn't something to get a comment for, it was the details and evidence itself which is not refutable.

If there was a claim against someone of an event that cannot be shown, you would ask them for their version of events, if the news had a clear video of an irrefutable event they would not require comment for what the video itself would clearly demonstrate.

Steve's video was demonstrable information through explicit evidence, it wasn't something that a comment would have shed light to as the only appropriate comment that could be made be a public response.

The content of the video could not have been changed and given what was demonstrated, it did not serve the viewerbase to wait for the response of the larger platform with greater reach.

Linus Tech Tips has the reach needed to be seen by at least as many viewers with their response.

X.com is his product he owned, that is loosely associated with PayPal's success despite it having nothing to do with the tech that it was merged for.

By "absorbing" twitter with his original X company that is older than twitter, he can pretend to be the founder of the parent company X, like he pretends to be the founder of Tesla.

The next step is for the ad-tier to go to $7.99, $8.99, $9.99

The strategy was always to make the ad-free options more valuable by comparison.

In no more than 36 months, the ad-tier will cost the $9.99 it was intended to replace, making Netflix having successfully added ads to the base tier, for no discount.

500mb 1080p HEVC for most shows on a 75" TV, but if it's a space sci-fi show with lots of dark scenes I need that 1GB-2GB episode.

Some shows get by on 200MB, but it depends how static the scenes are and how much lighting there is.

We couldn't talk about real digital piracy anymore after seeing so many subs that were acceptable early in Reddit's lifespan get taken down, some deserved, some not.

Having our own server based sub is extremely beneficial and this particular community was lucky that this event occurred. If anyone would like to talk about PC Gaming in a piracy friendly environment, checkout !pcgaming@lemmy.fmhy.ml

They were happy to come in and get everything for free from us, now that they are inconvenienced by a decade of content production/moderation being screwed over, they don't care at all.
