Well as it stands, the average American can't do much at all. But the republicans absolutely love Israel and Israel is going to get even more support from the US if the republicans control our government.

No offense, but I really hope you are young and that's the reason you are this naive. The next president is going to be either a democrat or a republican. Denying that reality so you can feel better about yourself is doing the people of Gaza no favors. You have no power of the situation and especially if you are in a swing state, the only thing you can do to help them is to keep the republicans out of the white house.

I actually understand your thought process, I used to be the same way. I wish third parties were viable too and I wish we had better options, but right now, the best chance you personally can give Gaza is voting Democrat.

In the US no vote is a republican vote. I know you don't like to hear it but its the way it is. The fewer people that vote the higher their chances go up.

You think having a Republican president is going to improve the situation?

Well 2016 wasnt close either, so saying it was closer than 2016 isn't saying much. The paragraph basically says "if he had won the key parts of the election he would have won". Well....ya...

He was dominated in the key parts of the election just like Hilary was. I agree with you he is absolutely a threat in the upcoming election, but he did not almost win 2020.

How do you figure he almost won? He lost damn near every key swing state. That election was not close.

I'm in a similar boat as you and my current plan is to switch to PopOS. They are Ubuntu/Debian based so you will be familiar with it, and they also are a distro that is more focused on gaming, so you will have an easier time with video card drivers.

It also will take up a ridiculous amount of space.

My family relies on OCR to find documents anyways. So of I'm gone, they could just upload it to onedrive or something similar and search that way

It only does a backup of media folder in paperless, so its not organizes in a meaningful way. But I never organize my documents anyways.

I do it because I like having full control over my data and services. Nobody can take it away from me or change the terms in which its provided.

Every couple months when I do server patching I run a script that downloads our immich library, paperless documents and bitwarden backups to an external hard drive. Then I put the drive in my gun safe. She knows where it is. After that she is on her own. Everything else isn't important and she will be just fine.
