I just mean that I personally have difficulties in making decision that I might regret.

So I have a bit of a hard time imagining what people who want surgery must feel.

But if the regrets rate are low I tend to think that maybe it's fine that they have the surgery.

Are non-surgical treatments still permanent? Like if you grow up using hormones or whatever and you end up with a different body later, it might be a bit similar to surgery.

As someone who doesn't know shit, I find permanent stuff scary. I wear contact lenses because I can't commit to buy a pair of glasses and I'm afraid to regret it.

But I heard that the rate of people regretting transition surgery or whatever it's called, is pretty low. I don't know if it's true and if it's only for adults, but I really hope it is true.

If so, maybe it's fine that minors have the surgeries. I would think that there is a serious process with professionals and shit and they make sure, as best they can, than the person is not going to regret later.

I understand putting ads on a free service like Google search or YouTube. But I bought this fucking Chromecast. I even suggested it to friends and family.

Another case that pisses me off is having bought a pixel watch at premium price and they want me to pay a monthly shitty Fitbit subscription to provide me with some trivial computations.

Same thing with their Google home screen. You pay a good price and you need a subscription to use the fucking sleep sensor that you paid for.

Another one is having a premium pixel pro and they still want me to buy a Google one subscription to get useless photos filters with Google photos.

I love that Android is open source (mainly) but fuck you Google you are an embarrassment to your former self.

I agree that I never ear anyone I know tell me they use it, but they are sold in every drug store here in Canada so people must buy them, otherwise they would be bankrupt.

Maybe there's better examples. Maybe glasses. Like 500$ for plastic. More people are buying online though these days.

git is distributed. but not issues, pull requests, forks... I think federation would provide all or most of that.

logseq is open source, but not their sync backend. You can use syncthing, but I would prefer that the native sync would be open.

It's a note taking app. A bit like logseq but 100% open source.

I just wish collaboration wasn't a year away.
