One extreme doesn't justify another, plus what matters here is the information. Couldn't care less about who runs or frequents the group, but I'm glad it brought awareness to SBI and their influence.

It was an anonymous DMCA takedown with spelling mistakes, they're just being extra careful. Plus Suyu isn't going anywhere, it's run by junior devs with 0 experience. Sudachi is run by one guy and he's made more tangible progress, just for reference.

FYI they backtracked on that, now requiring PWAs to run on webkit

Most of these forks are going nowhere, Nuzu is run by an "almost 15" year old kid, probably trying to cash in on a Patreon he set up

Edit: Suyu owner pirates games on reddit, yeah these aren't serious efforts lol

Surface-level article, Nintendo's main angle of attack here is financial, they're pointing to a lot of evidence on Yuzu's Patreon, such as posting Xenoblade DC running well a day before official release, and subscriber money doubling around TOTK launch. This approach to emulator lawsuits is new territory apparently.

The blackout was useless because most subreddits didn't even provide an alternative on Lemmy or elsewhere.

Not comparable, one is centered around people and the other around topics
