Truly does feel like a different time!

I just deleted my Reddit account, definitely won’t be browsing on my phone anymore. It felt pretty bittersweet but also liberating.

Crazy that Lemmy has been around since 2019! That’s before covid!

Conan! I loved his recent Paul Lannister interview. I didn’t think it was necessary to see his photos to hear him reminisce about his life. Though I am holding out for a recorded version on YouTube!

Mine is “snickerdoodle” which brought back long forgotten memories of bake sales. Also it’s just a delightful word!

I just got Yellowface and can’t wait to start! A couple of friends gave it rave reviews.

Try to tip 10% at absolutely minimum, so a $19 bill would be around $21, but I would try to add $1 or $2.

If you pay with a credit card there will be a line where you can write down the tip, and sometimes they will have suggested tip amounts.

If the state you’re going to has 10% sales tax, you can just add however much the tax was, plus alpha.

Sometimes, at some establishments, if you forget the server will run after you and ask for a tip, assuming it was a mistake on your part. Not really that common though!

Hope this helped!

I really enjoyed Elemental! My boyfriend slept through most of it though haha. It seems to be one of those polarizing movies.

The animation of Fire and Water was so beautiful and the story did resonate with me as a kinda/sorta immigrant.

Lemmy still feels really easygoing, kind of feels like Reddit in 2011.

This is one of those grammatical errors that is so common that it is almost not a grammatical error anymore. It is so pervasive in podcasts, movies, TV shows, etc. that I just gloss over it nowadays
