Is it possible that there are ghosting issues with the panel? I had a 120hz monitor at work at one point that had ghosting issues so bad it made it look barely any better than a 60hz panel. Going from 60hz to 120hz+ should definitely be noticeable to most people

Just from memory there's one of the most highly regarded golden era episodes, Homer at the Bat which heavily features MLB players from the time and makes jokes assuming knowledge of the league. You Only Move Twice has the joke about the Denver Broncos. The entire characters of Drederick Tatum and Lucius Sweet are based on Mike Tyson and Don King respectively.

I mean, fuck, there's no green bubble stigma in the US either. I have never once heard people complain about it in the real world

I don't know about BSD specifically but the current release is still Unix 03 compliant and it's still built on top of Darwin

Not to mention the fact that almost all music is recorded in .wav files nowadays, and the “lossless” versions are usually just synthetically upscaled for the audiophile crowd

WAV and FLAC are both lossless, the reason people use FLAC is because WAV doesn't (or didn't) have good support for tags and FLAC has lossless file compression while WAV usually is uncompressed. There isn't any sort of "upscaling" that is done.

Personally, I think a quality v0 or 320kb/s MP3 is perfectly fine for listening but I'm always going to prefer storing lossless audio so I can convert the files to whatever format I want/need. I've moved around between MP3, AAC, and Opus for different devices and if I didn't have the FLAC files I would either have to redownload files or do lossy to lossy transcodes

Honestly, I prefer not to have power seats. It's faster to adjust manual seats in my experience and there's both fewer things to break and less weight.

Tell that to all the nations lining up to call Israel bombing civilians self-defense.

I honestly think that FireWire 400 had a better physical design for the connector. It was keyed more dramatically than some of the other connectors people are citing as being both keyed and easy to orient incorrectly. I personally never had issues plugging in FireWire 400 blind.

It was roughly 2 years between the M1 and M2 which is a longer time between generation refreshes than Intel and about on par with AMD. The A series updates roughly as often as the top tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processors. Apple really isn't doing anything outside of industry norms here.

I'm glad Ars seems to have walked back its transphobia after the absolute shit-show that was its article about twitter screening a self identified fascist's transphobic screed that somehow came down on the side of the fascist.
