You get rid of cars and you stop designing society to accommodate the one edge case where someone lives 100miles away from a city that they have to commute by car to everyday for some reason.

If that is the case, you probably should have thought about that 50 years ago when "you" allowed and encouraged industries to out-source. But it's too late now.

Eh. Same recycled story as the Animal Crossing letters from mom story. Or an even earlier version where their sister/girlfriend/etc etc left a note on some game they were playing, or a version from 5000 years ago where a scroll they were transcribing had a note from a friend who recently died from yellow fever or whatever.

Ban plastic. There is literally no other way. Nothing you do on an individual level will have the slightest bit of impact at all. Government has to treat plastic like Freon/DDT or any other chemical that was banned world-wide because of huge unexpected impact.
