It was confirmed back in January. They very well may have already begun recording lines.
The two are unrelated, just happening confidently AFAIK. That said, the purpose of a widespread strike is to make people that would normally be unaffected pay attention. Grinding the economy to a halt forces action, at least in theory.
It's just marketing. They want these movies to dominate everyone's attention, and the juxtaposition between these two is ludicrous enough to get people talking
That's one reason I've ordered a few titles from PlayAsia recently. For example, the NTSC switch edition of the Metal Gear Solid collection requires downloading the titles. With the PlayAsia edition, lo and behold- everything is on the card, and multiple languages to boot.
