Discord sucks, but I've actually had a 100% successful help rate on it vs Reddit or Lemmy.

Typically Discord servers have specific tech support rooms, and you'll get help pretty quickly. Only once I have had to ask my question a second time, because it was missed the first time.

Meanwhile Reddit threads just get downvoted, buried, and you're never helped. Even when I try to search for threads that other people have posted, 90% of threads are just blank.

Lemmy is the worst. Doesn't matter what you need, they'll just call you stupid and tell you to use Linux and FOSS alternative, ignoring the fact you NEED to use what you're asking help with.

For most of us who aren't American, this format is funny.

More people died per day from COVID than this attack. More people have died from gun violence since this attack. America has a ton of problems, stop holding onto this attack so tightly for some reason.

Ironic when 95% of Lemmy is full of people telling others to use Linux.

Reminds me of an app I downloaded the other day to help plan routes. They asked for my cars "KPL".

Like what? Who in the world says KPL? It's l/100KM.

While I'm aware that some places may use KPL, it just seems very American to go "hey, we use MPG, so they must use KPL".

Well I doubt they care because they are also acting in a different movie kissing someone else.

I'm sure the divorce rate is high because they are limited to a small dating pool. The average person, you and I, are not severely limited to other famous people, and divorce rate for normal people like us is extremely high as well.

So is Epic.

Buying exclusivity rights to games so people will be forced to use your platform is the most crooked shit.

You'd think after he didn't pardon the people in person that stormed the Capitol they'd smarten up. If that didn't open their eyes, nothing will.

Except companies can run their own. In Google messages it tells you who runs your server. Most carriers ran their own, but when they realised there was no benefit (e2ee) and having to maintain it, they started shifting to Google ran servers.

Damn. Lemmy is hella doomed when a response to an insane thing someone else did on Lemmy is "who the fuck cares?".

Didn't realize you support people threatening others based on a comment about an operating system.

Stay here at Lemmy where humans are respected as humans

I saw a post a few days ago where one Lemmy user threatened to triangulate another user via IP, and then hurt them, because they said Linux doesn't work out of the box as well as windows in their experience.

This was on a main instance. The person didn't get in any trouble.

They say they take privacy seriously, but are selling their user’s data to Google

Only idiots think Apple is privacy friendly lol.

I don't link to news sites, but if you look up Apple Let Contractors Listen To Private Voice Recordings you'll see that in 2019 they were sending voice clips to contractors.

Apple has everyone fooled. They act like they are so privacy focused because they do processing locally on your device instead of in the cloud, which means nothing. Google also has been moving a vast majority of things to local processing on their Pixel devices for years now. Is Google now privacy focused?
