Not every game needs PvP. Helldivers is more of a wave shooter with it's design intent, so players are scaled to numerous weaker foes, not other players. Balancing for PvP would be a pain, and unnecessary since there are a ton of PvP third-person shooters already.
No wonder Bandai Namco are making big statements about game quality. They just lost their golden goose.

"Let them cook" has been my response to anyone rushing this DLC. The game itself took a while and it was worth the wait, this will be too.
Also, From Software goes hard on DLC. The Old Hunters for Bloodborne is the champ for me, but The Ringed City and Artorias of the Abyss were both amazing and essential experiences for their base games. Let. Them. Cook.
