Genuine question : why not just download a pirated version of the book then? Seems like a huge hassle for the same end result

While it was an interesting read, the article is quite outdated and the author is overly negative of literally everything, not just privacy. If a browser has a glowy button, it's horrible because it's too fancy... I feel for the guy...
I'd just take a clear stance on something right from the bat, doesn't matter what. AI is always needlessly careful when you ask it to pick a favorite color/food/soccer team/religion/skincolor/country/...
I tried using it. Putting my phone down on any surface would trigger it. Made my biometrics completely useless. Too sensitive on my device, even on the lowest settings :(
I've seen multiple ppl review them and say they are complete shit.
The lack of staggering between the rows would drive me nuts. Fuck that...
My Instagram is full of fitness content (and good looking people tbh). Nothing comes even remotely close on pixelfed. No offence to federated social media, but we all ain't good looking :) (or suck at using filters...)
It's still a very long way off from taking over Instagram.
Lemmy has a hardon for FOSS, and an irrational hatred for windows.
Aside from that, it's quite nice imo
Being overly Paranoia? Can't think of another valid reason.
What casual use can you do on windows/Linux that you can't on android?
And Android is so much better than windows/Linux for touch that it's not even a competition.
Swap to a 0 calorie version and just keep enjoying it? Fizzy drinks are a pretty harmless vice in the grand scheme of things. Hollow calories, so if you can replace it with a 0 calorie version, it would at least stop affecting your weight.
I know everyone is against artificial sweeteners. They won't kill you faster than microplastics, pollution, break pad dust, war, alcohol, smoking,...
Enjoy life! Enjoy a fizzy drink! I thoroughly enjoy my daily coke zero can.
After some more thinking, I guess the original piracy has to come from somewhere :)
