I have this issue as well :( I have PTT in Helldivers 2 bound to one of the back buttons, when I hit it the >)) mic icon lights up on the HUD, but no one can ever hear me. Hopefully the community can provide a fix, or some more clarification from Valve would be nice also

I’ve been watching this game as I enjoy this genre, and it has spaceships! Anyway, there is a demo up now, and as suspected it is great on Deck!

I use the Keyboard and Mouse Steam input template, but touchscreen kinda works better. Give it a whirl and see what you think! Title is a link right to the store page.

Been doing quite a bit of in-home streaming from PC to Steam Deck lately, and decided to give Chiaki4Deck a try for PS5 to Steam Deck in-home streaming. Works like a charm; great graphics (including HDR), touchpad and haptics support, and QoL stuff like sleeping your PS5 when exiting the Steam Deck’s stream session.

Here is the guide I used: https://streetpea.github.io/chiaki4deck/setup/configuration/

Can verify as a heavy Remote Play user that the update indeed breaks it entirely. Luckily, Sunlight/Moonlight still works just fine.

I’m playing Station to Station, Cyberpunk, and Miles Morales currently. I’ve noticed when I stream from my main rig to the Deck the colors are drastically different from both what the game looks like natively on the SD and my rig’s own monitor. I’m curious as to what gives, and how/where to fix it.

-PC has a RTX 3060, current WHQL drivers -Steam Deck OLED 512GB on Stable channel -Colors are tilted towards too much red, orange, and brown in all 3 games. But only while streaming, playing off the Deck natively it looks more…natural?

EDIT: Preview 3.5.8 contains a fix to the issue.

Fixed incorrect colors (gamma) when using Steam In-Home Streaming.

I know now why so many people skipped and/or hated this game haha! (Just got back from Disney). It was fun, but deleted now. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Looks great on my mini LED screen. Honestly, why do we keep doing this?

Ah yes the anime treatment. Only release reboots, sequels, prequels, and poor spinoffs. For every One Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100, Chainsaw Man, or Megalobox, there are way more re-do’s or milking such as Yet Another Gundam Series, a new Bleach something or another, InuYasha retread, Trigun reboot, Hunter x Hunter reboot, FMA Brotherhood, Fruits Basket, Fate/Stay universe, Evangelion remake, everything DragonBall…I could go on. It’s rather depressing.

Games are just following the curves established by other artistic mediums over the decades when laziness and greed wins, as it always does. Even The Last of Us wasn’t safe.

I wish I had known at the beginning that its not a delicate porcelain device. If you break the software, its easy to discover the right Linux command to fix it. Or you can plan ahead before tinkering, take a backup image, and just reimage it.

And if something goes wrong hardware-wise, its easy to open up and work on. All the parts, seriously all of them are able to be sourced from reputable companies and can be quickly installed.

I was scared of hurting it day one, but Ive since learned that you cant. Tinker away!

Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch. Instant pause/resume is invaluable.

Raw sewage. We had some leak up into an apartment back when I was a maintenance guy. The smell actually assaults the eyes first, then you start gagging. We had to lock the apartment off for a full month while the clean-up company did their thing. They were wearing full on gas masks and goggles.
