I quit my 20+ year career as a sysadmin about 2 years ago and started turning my backyard into a massive garden. I'm currently trying to figure out places to sell large quantities of hot peppers and I'm about to start selling matted and framed photos of flowers and wildlife from my garden.

Fuck IT.

I've been working on not saying "Google it" for quite a while. After saying it for over a fucking decade, its a hard habit to break. But I'm finally getting used to saying just "Look it up"

I saw one of those stupid motherfuckers driving thru my neighborhood the other day. That was the first time I had seen one in person and I have to say it was the ugliest piece of shit I had ever seen. All I could do was laugh at the dumbass behind the wheel for wasting their money on that monstrosity.

Also, am I the only one who remembers the old flash game from like a decade ago with a "cybertruck" that looks exactly like this that you bounced around the screen to kill enemies? I'm going on a mission to find that shit now.

Man, I quit my IT job 2 years ago and I haven't looked back. So glad I got out when I did.

Yeah I just got an invite as well and I haven't logged in since the protest that brought the first wave of us here. So karma has to be a deciding factor, I had over 100k I think so that would be the only reason I got an invite.

But Dixon wrote, rather cryptically, that remaining employees will put “more emphasis on our social channels as we accelerate our discussion with partners to take our content to where it will be viewed most broadly.”

In other words, the in depth reporting and niche shows aren't making enough money, so we're going to dump all that shit and jump on the reality TV bandwagon.

Kinda like the fucking TV screens they have on gas pumps for the sole fucking purpose of shoving ads down the throat of captive audiences.

You're right. My mistake.

I don't watch that shit so I get them confused.

Which is why most cop shows function as authoritarian propaganda.

Exactly!! I mean why else do you think Law & Order:SVU has been on the air for like fucking 30 seasons? Its not because of Ice-T's incredible acting ability, thats for sure...

Yes but image copyright is fickle thing, because at what point does it become not a copyrighted image? I have to reference the "Ship of Theseus" thought experiment, because it does sort of apply here. A fictional character cannot be drawn from a first hand perspective, so some sort of copyrighted image HAS to be used as a reference. So where does one draw the line?
