Samsung is willing to bet they can make a profit while covering 20 years of repairs, whereas Speedqueen is only willing to bet 3. That says to me the speedqueen is less repairable or Samsung and others expect to weasel out of their warranty.

I keep seeing people say this, but they only have a 3 year warranty. Samsung, siemens, and random chinese companies I've never seen in the US offer 20 year, on much cheaper machines.

lemmitors: They hate Taiwan for their freedom!

Heat index of 107 and rainy today.

It really depends, Ive stayed at hostels where the machines run 3+x a day and sometimes some machines will be 5+ years old. There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason as far as brand or usage pattern, though I've never seen an old combination unit.

Fuck in door ice makers. You're adding complexity and making the whole thing less reliable and less efficient.

A good dryer senses the moisture and adjusts the heat so it dosnt shrink your clothes and you dont have to take them out damp and hang them anyway, throws in a few reverse spins so clothes dry more evenly, and some other stuff Im sure.

Bizarre. I wonder why they go all the way to the US instead of Vietnam or Taiwan.

If the people will not love her, they can fear her.

Holodomer

You are literally doing nazi propaganda right now.

Uyghur genocide

lmao I am in China right now, I was in Urumqi earlier. There's no travel restrictions, literally anyone can go there.

problems have easy ideological solutions

Correct, because ideology guides actions. Decisions informed by liberalism tend to heighten the contradictions of capitalism; the working class get weaker, the bourgeois get more powerful, and the petite bourgeoisie get one, then the other, making them easily controlled by anyone who offers them a scapegoat that doesn't question the system that privileged them.

Socialism is the only way to stop liberalism from proceeding to fascism. If the liberals had supported the socialists instead of demanding the socialists vote for them while they create the conditions for fascism to grow, and then hand power to the fascists, we could have strangled it in its crib.

It was as true in the 1920s and 30s as it is today. Hell we even saw the dems choose to fund ICE year after year, after they built the first set of cages, and right now, today, are choosing not to block its massive expansion.

And you have any faith at all that those same people have any interest in stopping fascism?
