Sound pretty clear to me. And if you include the context of each sentence, before and after, I don’t see how much clearer it could get.

He said that the UN had failed to prevent previous genocides against the Tutsis in Rwanda, Muslims in Bosnia, the Yazidi in Iraqi Kurdistan and the Rohingya in Myanmar and wrote: “High Commissioner we are failing again.

“The current wholesale slaughter of the Palestinian people, rooted in an ethno-nationalist colonial settler ideology, in continuation of decades of their systematic persecution and purging, based entirely upon their status as Arabs … leaves no room for doubt.”

Mokhiber added: “This is text book case of genocide” and said the US, UK and much of Europe were not only “refusing to meet their treaty obligations” under the Geneva Conventions but were also arming Israel’s assault and providing political and diplomatic cover for it.

Garak is a simple tailor. He resolves an impossible situation in the least tailorly way possible yet somehow maintains plausible deniability.

He burned 22 billion because he was forced to after being a doofus. He is not destroying microblogging, he is destroying the environment around microblogging on his platform. It is his new toy that was never worth what he paid for it, so there is little point (to him) in trying to recoup monetary value. It’s value is to him is being his personal playground.

At least we finally know what values she was referring to

This is all kinds of stupid. Not only are these folk openly bigoted, they don’t care whether their bigotry is misapplied from their stated target. They just want to hate somebody.

these COULD pose a huge safety risk. Until the parts are tested it is unclear if they are actually bad.
this is a badly written article

The article is correct. The safety risk is that the parts COULD be dangerous to use. Whether the parts are actually defective or not is irrelevant because they don’t know; that’s what makes them a risk.

Oh dear.
Here we go again…

Wheat and sunflowers are hobbled by the war in Ukraine; now rice. What else should I have on my global food crisis bingo card? Mad cow? Bird flu? Corn? Beans? Are we going to lose all the bananas again?

Well, that’s fucking terrifying. Because the “border” legally extends ~~80~~ 100 miles in from the actual border due to some other stupid ruling.

Edit: miles
