I think it's looking pretty good. Edit: My class is about to start so I'll try to post my setup when I get home. Thanks for the kind words guys!

I have only had a couple days on Linux, and it's my first time posting here so I'll try to do it the best I can. Here we go

  • OS: Fedora 39
  • DE: GNOME
  • WM: Mutter
  • Wallpaper: http://imgur.io/xzilCU9
  • Shell theme: Marble + adw-gtk3 for consistency
  • Icon theme: Colloid
  • Extensions to replicate the look: Blur My Shell, Dash to Dock, Just Perfection, Logo Menu, Media Controls (this one's for the media player on top there), Shortcuts (for a shortcut cheatsheet), Simple Timer (for a timer on the menubar), Status Area Horizontal Spacing, User Avatar in Quick Settings---

Fedora Asahi, yeah! How did you know?

The logo in the top left corner

The icons in the dock

Very nice. Now let’s see Paul Allen’s desktop…

[–] sawdustprophet@midwest.social 10 points 11 months ago (1 children)

My God, it even has an overlay.

[–] casmael@lemm.ee 5 points 11 months ago

The transparency, the subtle neon green colouring

[–] Prunebutt@feddit.de 29 points 11 months ago

Nice job! You even managed to not get downvoted into oblivion for using Gnome on Unixporn! XD

[–] thanks_shakey_snake@lemmy.ca 27 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I know you just got it, but do you think you're ever gonna give it up?

[–] jacktherippah@lemmy.world 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Probably not for a little while. I'll get bored eventually so I'll change it out then.

[–] Limitless_screaming@kbin.social 16 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Good luck. I hope that Linux doesn't let you down.

[–] narp@feddit.de 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Even though it sounds like he is gonna run around and desert it one day :(

Thanks for being no strangers to love, gang :)

Btw you can also download the wireguard config for your vpn and import in the system settings. Then you won't have to open the mullvad app and can just toggle it on or off from the control center.

[–] jacktherippah@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

Thanks. I'll try that later.

Rick Astley for the new Ipsum Lorem!!

[–] Virkkunen@kbin.social 9 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Looks pretty good. I'm a sucker for pill based categories and control panels like yours and Android's. Wish I could do something like this on KDE (you can pry Plasma out of my cold dead hands)

[–] jacktherippah@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

I tried KDE too but their kitchen sink approach didn't really appeal to me.

[–] Prunebutt@feddit.de 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Is that not possible with Rlasma? I thougt you could customize everything there.

[–] callyral@pawb.social 1 points 11 months ago

It's possible, I just don't think someone has done it yet and also I don't think a menu like that would fit in with the rest of the Plasma DE.

[–] marv99@feddit.de 9 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It looks nice and the wallpaper is great. Would you mind sharing a source for it?

[–] jacktherippah@lemmy.world 12 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (2 children)

It's from the season finale of a series (won't say which one because spoiler) but here you go! imgur.io/xzilCU9

[–] cheerjoy@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The series isLoki
for anyone wondering.

[–] Sotuanduso@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

People are downvoting you even though you used a spoiler tag? Weird.

[–] jacktherippah@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

They could be on mobile where the tag doesn't work. I tried Eternity, Boost and Voyager. Doesnt work on any of them.

[–] marv99@feddit.de 2 points 11 months ago

Thank you very much =)

[–] auf@lemmy.ml 7 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

It's pretty good
