This is the thing they can't admit. That the system isn't broken. It works exactly how its meant to, for the people ots meant to wirk for.
For libs its always some magic bullet, some minor reform, one reversal of one policy and it'll all be fixed. "The problem is 'first past the poll' we need 'ranked choice' then elections will work." For example

You prefer +1 evil or +10 evil? That's our system of government. Push for voting reforms, which neither evil likes, but you are more likely to get with +1 evil then +10.

Precisely. I voted today and it took a few minutes of my time. There was still plenty of time in the morning to keep working on the things I think will make more of an impact re: improving things somewhat. Mutual aid and anything else in the bucket of "resisting tyrannical government" is much easier when it's only +1 more evil rather than +10.
Nah I think the people who constantly make the most barbaric decisions or excuse why they can't revert them are the ones being anti-democratic.

I did, AND because my city does ranked choice voting, I got to pick someone for my first choice that I actually like. She probably won't win, but it's not dangerous for me to vote for her!

I did my part. Super easy ballot this year:
Libertarian (sticker placed over republican views), or democrat who doesn't do anything but at least he isn't a republican
Old white dude who says all races matter, or old black lady who says diversity is good
Dude who enlisted in the army after 9/11 and thinks we need more cops in schools, or literally anyone else
Personally, I support the Borg Collective but the Ferengi Trade Consortium does make so good points.

I think the yanks are having some sort of election, it usually is around Cup Day. They don't have compulsory voting like us, so it's a bit different attitudewise.
Today is election day, but this year is only local elections, nothing national. My district actually has nothing.

Yep, we usually have an election the first or second Tuesday of every November. On the one hand it sucks that more of us don't vote, but on the other hand I'd rather that people who get a ballot and just pick whatever name sounds better not do that
