I stand by the statement made by the protesters at Sugarbush in March: JD skis in jeans.

As someone who knows nothing about skiing, what is the actual issue with jeans?

Not warm enough? Gets soaked if you fall? Something else I'm missing about the insult?

Yeah you should always wear something water resistant when doing snow sports that feels like it should be obvious

If you ski in jeans you look dangerously unprepared to ski. Your skill level is immediately in question and the time you can safely be outside on the snow is short cause your wearing cotton as an outerlayer!

Ski patrol is planning your sled ride to the clinic the moment they see you and warming up their favorite zingers about you so they can laugh it off in the shack later.

Ski in jeans, you're dangerously dumb, gonna hurt yourself and others.

Yeah, the two main issues are moisture retention and the lack of flexibility. A bit more generally, though, it’s an insult meaning you showed up a bit full of yourself and ill-equipped for the task at hand.

Fun fact: a snozzberry is a dick. Brings a whole new meaning to ‘the snozzberries taste like snozzberries’

Here’s a link explaining, from back when cracked.com was good:

That's a hell of a stretch, and shouldn't be taken as anything more than a joke. Just in case anyone is taking it quite literally, no, snozzberry is not a dick.

Berries from your schnoz. Schnozberries.

It’s boogers.

Also no. The joke is that it's a made-up fruit. It doesn't mean anything.
