Galaxy quest Allan Rickman, Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver and Sam Rockwell man even the behind the scenes documentary said they got lucky with the timing of the film and the movie executives were busy micromanaging something else so they were given tons of room to work. Highly recommend this film as a quick fun getaway that you don’t need to overthink and just enjoy the ride

I know it doesn't exist, but I would love it if the Galaxy Quest "Fuck This" release would come out.

If you haven't seen it, find the Galaxy Quest documentary - it's a delight.

Definitely The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent! Pedro Pascal and Nic Cage had a blast and it transpired through the movie.

One scene in particular in "The Avengers."

Both Robert Downey and Gwyneth Paltrow are Hollywood born and raised. Early in the movie, there's a three way conversation between them and Agent Coulson that's pure 1940's screwball comedy material. Every time I see it, I imagine Cary Grant and Kate Hepburn running those lines.

As a general thing, any Kurt Russell movie directed by John Carpenter was [according to them] a pleasure,

I can believe that, especially for Big Trouble in Little China

That last fact warms my heart immensely. I love Kurt Russell and John Carpenter, and it's so refreshing to hear "they really enjoyed doing that". Usually the "fun fact" you hear about movies you love is that everyone was awful and miserable.

Ever heard of "The African Queen?"

It's a great movie; an adventure and a great romance rolled into one.

One of the stories about it is that the male star and the director only drank whisky while they were on location in Africa. The female star was appalled by this and vowed only to drink water. Guess who got sicker?

The fall guy. The whole movie was an homage to the stunt crew and they had some fun with that.

Super Troopers and Beerfest. The Broken Lizard crew has great chemistry.

That movie was shot in 3B - three beers - and it looks good, eh?

[–] CuddlyCassowary@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

I can personally attest to watching in 3B-vision. It was excellent, you hoser.
