Yeah I'm not super versed in retro handhelds, but I've seen reviews of products that are not too much more expensive, yet offer like 100x the features and performance. I would imagine the ability to load custom ROMs would be a deal breaker. These review units seem one step away from coming in a cereal box, or as a superhero-themed extra toy you get in a movie theater popcorn combo.

Yeah a miyoo or https://anbernic.com/collections/handheld-game-console would be better. So funny he got the absolute worst.
I just got an RG35xx+ on ebay for $20. It’s good.
The fact that you can install UFO 50 on this sold two RG35XX+ devices to my household. Perfect fit for a "game boy"
Unfortunately I can’t. It won’t connect to my wifi, so I can’t use port master.
But this is a “gameboy “ Christmas present for my 4 year old daughter so it’s perfect for that.
I never connected mine to wifi, you can actually get everything needed for portmaster set up on your PC! Hopefully your four year old doesn't get too frustrated with the RG35XX "not turning on".
$20 is a steal. Congrats!
I checked local retailers that were reselling them here, $117.
Not featured in the video, but I've thought about getting an R36S; but I've got a 3ds that can do everything the R36S can do and more if I get it fixed - mine seems to be having a hardware issue...
