This article was quite frankly useless, other than the name Star Flash, and that it incorporates some aspects of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I learned nothing of use here.

They probably wrote about every detail that is known about it so far, which doesn't speak for the technology.

I wonder if there will be actual specs released or Gongkai will be the only way to learn about it

Though light on details I did find it very interesting. I’ve never heard of Star Flash.

That's my biggest criticism, is that it didn't have any real detail in it.

It’s hard to find anything in English but if your browser has translation Wikipedia has some information.

If i know China, it's the same as Bluetooth but with code tweaked enough to be distinct, while also funneling data into shady servers.

Because then Chinese companies can use it without paying the Bluetooth tax.

Backdoors maybe?

I quite like the directionality where you point at the device you want to control, if i understood the article correctly

Include 5G? So is it bluetooth or 5G or some unholy combination?
