I think dying at work would really suck. Insult to injury.

At least his death was noticed right away unlike the Wells Fargo employee that died in her cubicle and wasn’t discovered for 4 days
Also I'd rather die at work, soaring above the clouds, trying to connect people safely to another destination, than in a cubicle at Wells Fargo.
Right on. It's better to die peacefully among the clouds than it is to die afraid and screaming, like your passengers.
(Recycling an old joke, not trying to be snarky or mean, btw)
Fucking hell. That's depressing.
Did she get paid for those 4 days or nah?
Arguably, better than dying on your own time.
Imagine dying, being rezzed and then still having to finish up your shift ugh
It happens with alarming regularity to office workers in Japan.
They should try leaving at 5pm then.
Would you rather your family be the ones to discover your death?
Once in a while I’ve thought about that …. Now that I’m divorced, if something happened to me, my teen would be the one to discover it. I would never want to inflict that on him: If I can’t become immortal, I’d rather go at work where at least it’s not my family
“I’m always scared of flying. And my friend says, ‘Don’t worry, you’re not going anywhere until it’s your time.’ And I say, ‘But what if it’s the pilot’s time?’”
That's one reason to mandate 2 pilots.
That's very similar to a line from Hook
I'm fairly certain it's a paraphrasing from a well known comedian, someone like Norm or Danger field level.
Eric Adams must have wanted a domestic flight. Credit to the pilot, he was committed to making it work.
This is the 3rd time in a few days I'm hearing about a pilot passing out/dieing in the middle of a flight. This just the law of averages or is something going on with pilots?
They all had the fish for dinner!
Ah yes, I had the lasagna.
Pilots sacrificing their brethren to remind the world that we have redundancies for a reason. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/one-pilot-in-cockpit-staffing-shortage-faa-part-121/
There are a lot of flights every day, and anything about air travel gets a front-page spot these days.
