There's like 40 of them lol. I personally like Voyager, but there are a bunch of really good options.

[–] spiderman@ani.social 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

many of them are archived, outdated or simply removed. that list needs a total recheck.

Sync allows user tagging, but it's a feature of the Ultra version since those tags are stored on sync's private server. Ultra got a few other perks such as in-app translation, text extraction (from pictures / screenshots) etc., but it's rather pricey.

There is like 40 apps

[–] TrippyFocus@lemmy.ml 44 points 1 month ago (5 children)

I use voyager which I know is available on iOS. There’s a lot of android options as well.

[–] rezz@lemmy.world 20 points 1 month ago

Voyager gang.

[–] Brewchin@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I use Voyager on Android phone and iPad.

It's not perfect, but it's the least sucky Lemmy experience I've had so far.

I use voyager on android and I'm happy with it so far.

[–] tyler@programming.dev 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Voyager is good in some ways but I think Mlem is better in a bunch more ways. I really dislike that in voyager when you are typing a comment you can’t pull down to see the thread or anything at all as it tries to delete your comment. Why in the world would I want to delete my comment by pulling down like that? So many apps do that, like YouTube.

[–] FridaG@reddthat.com 6 points 1 month ago

I find mlem better in all ways except is has all sorts of annoying haptic actions and weird alerts, but they seem to be attenuating with each update

I recommend trying a few of them out to see which one(s) you like:

  • Connect
  • Boost
  • Jerboa
  • Sync
[–] neidu2@feddit.nl 13 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

I liked Jerboa, but after a lemmy upgrade, Jerboa took too long to support the new protocol, so I switched to Voyager. I would probably be using Jerboa again noe if there was a simple way of exporting my blocks et al. back to Jerboa.

[–] andrewrgross@slrpnk.net 7 points 1 month ago

I still use Jerboa. I'm a fan.

[–] ryathal@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago

Unless an app is doing something weird, your blocks should be tied to the account and not the app.

[–] 404@lemmy.zip 25 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Thunder has been great so far

[–] ExtraMedicated@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I like the link previews. Not getting rickrolled again.

I use Voyager for iOS. It’s basically an Apollo clone.

[–] Retrograde@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

And for Android, check out Sync, it works great.

The developer is a really nice guy and is very communicative with folks, he ran Sync for reddit for years before reddit became enshittified - why we're all here to begin with.

[–] savvywolf@pawb.social 20 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I've been using Jerboa, which does the job well enough.

[–] Nemo@midwest.social 6 points 1 month ago

If you used RIF for reddit it will be very familiar.

Eternity is good.

To name a few others, Liftoff, Thunder, Jerboa, Voyager are worth a look.

[–] Cuttlefish1111@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Voyager for Iiphone is the best I’ve found

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 month ago

Voyager for Android is the best I've found

[–] Technus@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 month ago

Many of the third party Reddit apps switched to Lemmy when the API got locked down. I'm using Sync for Lemmy, but there's plenty others.

[–] linkshulkdoingit69@lemmy.nz 12 points 1 month ago

I'm using Jerboa

[–] weariedfae@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I like Connect, it's been pretty good so far.

[–] BreadOven@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I've only ever used sync since the sync Reddit stopped working (fuck those [Reddit] people). Haven't been back since. Also with ad block and a VPN, I don't get any ads on the free version.

Welcome welcome! There are a lot of apps to choose from, check out here: https://www.lemmyapps.com/

Jerboa is my choice, but what you settle on depends on what features you want.

[–] Mwa@thelemmy.club 7 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

i use jerbora the only issue no notifications and maybe idk how to setup

[–] 11111one11111@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Voyager has all the features. There are only a couple others that are full featured.

I've tried a number of them and Jerboa has worked the best for me
