Anyone remember this? Dumb Ways to Die ad campaign

Dumb ways to die

[–] drbluefall@toast.ooo 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

One of the best PSA campaigns to ever exist, imho.

Can't believe they used a European Robin instead of a bird native to the US. I demand better bird representation in our public safety announcements

[–] BloodyFable@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I'm glad they used a bird that bothers you, that way you'd more readily understand that birds aren't real.

Completely unlistenable

Here is the direct Web site if you're interested in checking out the announcement, plus downloading the album:

You know what... I'm fine with this. If not a little proud.

Any one with a guess on how they arrived at this title?

[–] SheeEttin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

None whatsoever.

No idea but it’s brilliant. I’m proud of a government agency for once

[–] mean_bean279@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Honestly, the agencies always go hard AF. Our National Park Services has a fire ass social media and does some wild things. USPS sells some fire ass drip even.

[–] JustAManOnAToilet@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Why would they be selling flaming diarrhea?

It is meme lingo I somehow haven’t heard about yet? I kinda like it. It’s also confusing though

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Did they get Steve Buscemi to help them out?

[–] unreachable@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

are they targeting young adults of five year old?

[–] NerdyPopRocks@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

This is amazing! I’m sharing it with everyone I know
