The dumplings didn't turn out as pretty as I like but for a first attempt I'm very happy. They just didn't want to release from the pan.

Using a bowl to mould the rice is straight out of the ‘80’s.

If those are typical sized dumplings, I think it’s just a smaller plate

Could be.

The rice looks compressed to me meaning it has more rice in it

I track how many calories I eat and that looks like the rice alone would be enough for dimmer minus the dumplings
