Yeah, I can see it in the lighting/backdrop and the mostly solid-color dresses (even before getting to the fact that RuPaul and Björk have unusual enough looks to pass as different species of rubber-forehead alien).

The main thing that gives it away as not Star Trek is that that the dresses are a little too modest, LOL.

I never knew that about TOS but it now makes a lot of things make a lot of sense.

Also everyone beware, it's a TV Tropes link. Maybe save this post and come back to it on a long car ride...

I thought RuPaul was hosting some kids award lol. Damn RuPaul's tall.

Reminds me of Brian Shaw (4x World's Strongest Man) on stage at the Olympia. Keep in mind those guys next to him are winners of the world's most prestigious bodybuilding award:

They look like weird action figures

Fun fact, Bjork is exactly one foot shorter than Ru Paul (5'4 and 6'4).

They aren't alone. I had the same exact experience until I saw RuPaul and started reading the captions.

I'd love to see them on board, especially Bjork.

It's possible she was and we just weren't paying close enough attention
