So basically hold off of getting the vaccine until late October or early November for the best coverage during the upcoming infection rate peak.

Isn't that how it goes with the regular flu shot as well? I've heard it's better to wait until October or so to get it.

The choice is between a less effective vaccine now or a more effective one later. Not an easy decision to make.

Or just get the old booster now and then by the time they release the update you’ll be ready for your next booster anyway…

In my country it is impossible for me to get a booster anyway. You have to be 60+ or have cancer. Other at risk groups are left to fend for themselves.
