I'm writing is as an author who lost all her work after a hard disk failure. Please make sure to make a daily backup of the site on a USB!

Better safe than sorry.

Unrelated (sort of) but do you need a place to backup your stuff or did you figure something out already?

Edit: Also if you've got the money use an external hdd/ssd instead of a usb, they're even less prone to failure than usb drives

I use google drive and dropbox, but curiously novels don't require that much storage compared to discussion forums. A few megs at most.

I run a script to back up to all theee places (usb, gdrive, dropbox) each day I write something 😁
