My point is, that by putting black people on a pedestal, you are again making race diversion, which just makes it even harder for everyone to be seen as equals.
Goal should be to stop cop violence altogether, because it's bad on it's own.

That's the point. To many, they didn't matter and still don't. Which is abhorrent.
If I say "I like ice cream" you wouldn't assume that ice cream is the only food I like.
