yeah there is.

Einstein gained his prominence by demonstrating the validity of his theory of general relativity; and the experiments surrounding it panning out. He faced criticism from many colleagues- many of whom detracted from his work by pointing at the mathematical and abstract nature of it and preferring experimental evidence.

You'll note that those critic's competing theories have fallen by the wayside as experimental evidence came in demonstrating Einstein's theory to be the more correct one.

He also faced a shitload of antisemitism, with many critics calling him a fraud and a plagiarist, questioning the validity of his work simply because he was a jew.

You'll also note that Einstein grew up poor, in Germany, and during the early stages of his career faced the rampant antisemitism of the weinmar republic. During which time he did in fact earn a nobel prize. As we come up to the time in which he fled the fucking nazis who siezed, they stole all of his assets, burned his books and he barely got out alive. Even then in the US he faced antisemitism here, despite already being world famous for his ideas, thoughts and keen intellect.

Musk, on the other hand is a south african aparthied neppo baby. at no point was he ever "poor". that's all bullshit. He got his wealth from his father's emerald mine in Zambia. The conditions in that mine were straight up horrific, but don't let that bother you. I'm sure Elon is really a great dude. (bleck.)

At no point was Musk ever fleeing anyone only to face more of the same in Canada or the US. He lied to retain his academic visa depsite dropping out and should have been deported, but alas, Neppo Babies get special exemptions.

To compare Musk to Einstein is patently ridiculous. Musk is an utter fucking moron with the soul of a ghoul. The conditions at his companies are horrific by US standards with safety only a consideration insofar as it's regulatorily mandated, and even then often ignored. Trade advocates along side actual experts were always among the first to be his critics.

of his most successful "ventures" Paypal only took off after they shitcanned him for being a terrible boss. In fact Paypal acquired his financial services software and that's how he's associated with Paypal at all. it wasn't his baby.

Tesla and space x are only viable because they're welfare queens. If you account for the shitloads of government subsidies they're given in their earnings, you'd see that they're not in fact successful companies.

You also know that musk is not, has never been, universally lauded as anything but a raging narcissist.

You're an utter fucking moron if you think that's gaslighting. read the statement again. has musk been lauded as a genius? yes. But far from universally so. He's going to go down in history as yet another dumbass nazis. that's his legacy.

Hyperloop, for example is replete with examples of his stupidity. So much so that it was initially questioned. initially the reviews were simply skeptical- especially focussing on the cost. then as more details of how it would work came out, that skepticism turned to rampant derision. (1, 2)

It is patently offensive that you compare the two. One is a man who fled from nazis and built his reputation by doing credible research and expanding our understanding of the universe around us by leaps and bounds and the other is a dumbass nazis wellfare queen who relies on rubes to silence any criticism. The two stories aren't even close to the same.
