I have a timer app for blocking Instagram and it works pretty well—I use ScreenZen
i never got the hang of using fb, or instagram. only to check up a specfic person, i lose interest the moment it ask you to login.
That app actually looks really cool, i think I'll try it.
The question remains though, is there something to prevent you from disabling the timer when you've hit your daily limit?
ScreenZen shows a “streak” which gives me some motivation to keep at it. I think you can disable it of course. But. I don’t
