Vaguely gestures at what the West has been doing since WWII. The only thing Trump is doing differently here is that the people he's bullying are white.

If you cannot see how this is different than what has happened before, I don't know what to tell you.
The only thing I can think of that compares (but on a smaller level) is what Trump did to the Kurds fighting ISIS in Syria.
Geopolitically it's a pretty big deal, I know, but morally it's very much in line with what the US does on a daily basis around the world. Just now it's white people feeling the effects rather than brown people.
If you cannot see how often the US has been the invader, overthrowing a small country's government for their resources, I don't know what to tell you.
I feel like all the countries aided by USAID would like a word…
