For context, my wife is always criticizing how I don't add enough salt to the dishes I cook. I also have no tats. She does.

But at least you can always add more salt lol

Sometimes, yep. Other times people just get desensitized from eating too much of it.

People also tend to add more seasoning (particularly salt) as they get older and their senses dull.

To my knowledge, sensory organs also don't dull. You might need glasses or have hearing damage, but dulling is a new one to me

Dunno. I was going off common wisdom I'd heard over the years about people over salting their food as they get older.

Mayo clinic says yes though.
