Intel is the CPU bus driver for a large quantity of vendors, retailers, and customers.
Clearly the company board members or whomever is at the helm of this sinking boat only cares about minimizing their losses while every one of their customers suffers as Intel is (almost intentionally at this point) dragging their credibility as a CPU company through the mud
