I eventually got the GPU passed through to the VM.. it took about a day of following different guides. Then I tried the same thing on a container and it was about 3 mins work and it was in infinitely better experience with plex in a container instead of a vm
You can also pass the GPU to multiple LXCs that will share it vs it being tied to a single VM. I use VMs as little as possible in Proxmox these days.
Didn't know you could share the pass-through. Thanks for that bit of info!
Can a container output video to a display? I have a container I remote into with GNOME on it, but would like to log into a console if possible.
That I'm not sure of. My proxmox host is headless and none of my containers have a GUI so I haven't tried.
I have had the opposite experience with Intel integrated graphics.
