7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

There are doxxing websites? Like purpose-made? Isn't that illegal? Article doesn't mention the name, but says it has been used before. Wouldn't it just get deleted after the first time?
illegal where? do you think a website hosted in Russia or Pakistan is going to care about an american family whose details get listed there?
It's mind-blowing to me seeing Americans all surprised that their laws don't magically extend to every corner of the world through the internet. Crazy mfs lmao
What? No, young people that never saw a phone book are the likely cause here. It's not illegal to post publicly available details.
Tons of doxxing is nothing more than searching publicly available information. People who already know all the sources can do it easily. These websites would only make it accessible in one place.
Try doxxing yourself sometime. It's scary.
Then pay a service to de-dox yourself across all those web sites. It feels a bit like a mafia squeeze, but it works.
Do you have a good one you can recommend?
Google will keep you out of search results at least.
