I've tried a few jellyfin plugins that are supposed to sync metadata and thumbnails from tube archivist, but it's just not working right.

I can see some thumbnails, but then the titles are just random gibberish. Or the titles somewhat work, but no thumbnails.

Any secret I'm missing?

Both are running in docker containers on a synology nas.

I suppose you are using the plugin at https://github.com/tubearchivist/tubearchivist-jf-plugin. Very rarely I had the same problem. But if I ignore it, the data sometimes fixes itself after another update. If not, you could try the manual trigger. Frankly I have no idea why it fails sometimes.

Yes, that's the first one I tried.

Maybe I'll keep trying, but I don't want to commit to tube archivist until it plays nice with jellyfin. 🤞

Maybe you could try Pinchflat. I haven't yet tried it though I do plan to do it some time soon.

You need to set a trigger for tubearchivist-jf to run after you’ve downloaded a video.
