You think it's liberals who would want to punish scientists for pointing out corporate greed?
I'm thinking you don't know the definition of "neoliberal."
Yeah that's fair, I inadvertently glossed over the "neo". Still though, punishing scientists for getting in the way of corporate profit seems way more on-brand for modern American conservatives than any other ideology.
It's not binary, but I agree with your general sentiment.
However, the American citizen has been propagandized and groomed to be corporate bootlickers. To our own demise, we accept the gross negligence of both parties to create reasonable regulation to maintain the balance needed for capitalism to function fairly.
NEOliberals absolutely would. I'm not accusing the minority within the majority members like Sanders or Ocasio-Cortez of such things.
