Its also about getting it out to people who would otherwise have no idea it exists.

I certainly prefer Steam because it has nice features (e.g. Steam Input), but I can also add non-Steam games as needed as well.

The only thing i hate about steam is the DRM that takes resources and makes games slow at the start
