They got to keep the cars but the mods were so ridiculous & unnecessary, and the mechanics didn't even fix what was actually wrong with the junk cars in the first place.

So the cars didn't last long. Yeah it was all for show.

No, he's full of shit. Its kind of famous that they sent the cars out and they were absolute pieces of shit. They did the mods crappy as fuck. Like 1 thing I remember was this one that had tvs that would rise up. They used cheap windshield wiper motors for the TVs and it lasted like a month.

There are several stories out there about the shitty cars.

Also they were forbidden by contract from selling them, so there was nothing they could do with them

Uhhhh, what? It was my understanding that the two big problems were that they didn't fix mechanical or structural issues and that the owners couldn't afford to keep nice looking cars.
