I'm out of the loop, what happened with Taylor Swift? I know she private jets everywhere but something happened recently to cause this sudden wave of memes no?
I think what set off the recent wave is when she threatened legal action against the person posting her private jet's tracking information. She (or her legal team) was alleging that it enabled stalking, but the tracking data is public information so stalkers would already have had access to it.
Ah the good ol Streisand effect. When will these rich people learn?
I didn't know any of this until I started seeing 7 memes a day about it. Now I too keep up with the flight paths. Good job T
No, this was started with FOX news bashing her jet usage, and the joke was that FOX would have to explain why CO2 was bad. Then the insane conspiracy theory that 20% of USArs now believe. Then she used legal action against someone tracking her jet (possibly because of death threads).
But the fox news propaganda worked! Now even liberals are focusing their hatred on her. I have to give it to fox news, very well done. That's the way you topple a female icon like taylor swift, you attack her purity. The money for crafting this PR strategy was well spend. I'd love to know the person who came up with the idea and thank him for basically solving climate change!
