I think that's down to audience. Niche to the terminally online? Probably not. Niche to your average person? Yeah probably.

How on earth have I never seen a Mr Beast video? YT has never even suggested it that I can remember, and I've been on the lookout for a few months ever since I heard about him on--and this is peak irony--the radio.

The meme is just as good without the word niche. You don't need to enforce meme accuracy on the internet. Everyone will survive if we talk about YouTubers who aren't niche
