Depends on the person. With my partner, it's actually really passionate and a turn on for both of us. We're not always in the mood, but when we are...

Where's the fun of just going in without buildup? You don't just start a movie with the villain executing his plan, you build up the character, motive, and suspended to the moment. Same with sex.
