Very quickly but likely quite painful

What if we just take Canada and move it over a little?

Used to work at Rebellion on their IT team. Genuinely a fantastic place to work and the owners seemed to always be super chill. Had a full suit of armour in one of their offices and so many weapons lying around (likely blunt replicas but still really cool).

I wasn't on the game dev team so can't speak for them but I was personally never pushed to work harder and often explicitly told to take breaks.

We also used to have large Unreal Tournament matches at lunch.

Never heard of Transmetropolitan but this looks amazing!

I don't think I've ever thought of chicken that way... Questioning if I even understand it at all 😂

But yes, you're right, the whole thing requires everyone to contribute equally for it all to work properly but, since everyone can momentarily benefit more by not, and politics is painfully shortsighted, they won't do the right thing.

Isn't it less of a game of a chicken and closer to a global Prisoners Dilemma? The best option for everyone is for everyone to do the thing, the best option for individuals is to not do the thing but the worst thing for everyone is to not do the thing?

I love how part of their reasoning is to somehow help with our dependence on the whims of the international oil and gas markets, as if this in any way addresses that. Unlike, you know, £22bn worth of wind, solar, tidal or nuclear energy might?

Thank you for the reminder to delete my Udemy account!

Gen-AI has 0 place being used in a learning setting, especially one people are explicitly paying for themselves. Sure, let's all learn from the Bullshit Machine.
